Jumpcut was bought by Yahoo! and eventually shut down. Unfortunately the video playlist was lost.

Following up to my previous post by the same title. I went over to Keith Friedrichs house Saturday evening and picked up his photo album, and two video tapes he got from the trip. I captured his two tapes and after pulling out My tapes I was reminded that on about our 3rd day in on the trek my Dad accidentally dropped the battery from the camera and it wouldn’t hold a charge after that, so unfortunately our crews trip will be kind of cut short on the video. In all, after capturing about 6 hours of raw footage, I trimmed out the occasional filming of the inside of the lens cap and got the videos down to 70GB in all. I had to burn a bunch of stuff off my hard drive in order to make room. I ordered a 300GB external drive, and when that comes I’ll use it, instead of DVD’s, as my archival location. On a side note, with the addition of that external hard drive and a little bit of casual rounding between friends I can almost say that I have a half a terabyte of storage space in this beast. :-)

So far I’ve redone the original opening video, paying more attention to getting all the credits to match with the person in the video, and keeping it to just our travel there like I did in the 2001 opening. Because there was a lot of good stuff in the travel there, I may edit the travel into something watchable also and put it on the DVD as a bonus. I also have completed the editing (no music yet) of our first day at tent city. Dubed “Day 0″ because we arrived in Tent city a day earlier than our trek officially started.
