One day and two bands! Putting up the stuff for No Fate below prompted me to give a little attention to another band here in the Sacramento area that I have close ties to. My neighbor Cody is the lead singer for The Usuals, but instead of trying to describe them myself I’ll just be lazy and pull something off their site

From the depths of the Northern California Suburbia, The Usuals are a reflection of the disappointing mediocrity of status-quo living. With a sound reminiscent of the early days of Better than Ezra and Weezer, combined with elements of many forms to make something completely original and powerful. Stoked with power rock percussion reminiscent of the glory days of glamour rock, backing harmonies in celebration of the Beach Boys, crunching guitar chords and wanking solos combined with witty humor and confident showmanship the Usuals take “Nerd Rock” to a whole new level. Leaving audiences wanting more at each show this quartet is never satisfied until everybody in the audience is having fun and entertained.
