A short story:
I work for an electrical engineering company as a telecommunications designer (and IT manager). We are doing a condo project in Sacramento that will have all three of these companies to the site. So we scheduled a meeting with all of them at once so we could coordinate backboard space and join trench stuff. The following is how each company approached the design:
Comcast: Their engineer wasn’t available, so he asked another guy from comcast to fill in. The fill-in canceled the day of the meeting.
AT&T: Showed up 15 minutes late, and wasn’t even familiar with the job (although she had drawing for a month now). And proceeded to try to blame the rest of us for her lack of preparedness.
Surewest: When I told everyone we would have 3 entry/distribution points he asked how many units from each and after I told him he handed me a 6 page packet with full specs and drawings for their DSLAM including the required spacing.
So in the end
Comcast: 0/5
AT&T: 1/5
Surewest: 5/5
