24 Years in the Making
24 years ago, on this day a child was born. Out of a world of darkness and silence, the child brought hope to millions. That child was me, and now, nearly a quarter of a century later, the world is a better place, and there is to be celebrations all over the world.
Haha. Just kidding. But today IS my birthday, and so its a day of celebration for me anyway.
Yesterday I had a BBQ out at the Folsom City Park with a bunch of my friends, many of whom I hadn’t seen in a while so I was very glad to have seen them. To the surprise of a few people here at work, I didn’t go out drinking at all this weekend (I suppose maybe I am getting old…). I really just enjoyed the day spent with friends.
Tonight I’m headed up to my parents house to spend the evening with Family.
Jumping back to Friday, Cody and Becca invited a group of us over to their new place for some burgers and beers and a little bit of Disc Golf HORSE. I’m proud to say I came in 2nd and gave Cody what I hope was a run for his money in the game.
Going back even further (yeah, this post is in reverse). The lady still has yet to call me…
