Free software is typically free for a reason. However, to any rule there are always exceptions. AutoStitch is definatly one of those exceptions.

Autostitch is the world’s first fully automatic 2D image stitcher. Capable of stitching full view panoramas without any user input whatsoever, Autostitch is a breakthrough technology for panoramic photography, VR and visualisation applications.

Autostitch is built using cutting edge research from the AI lab at UBC, but it’s incredibly simple to use! Just select a set of photos, and Autostitch does the rest: digital photos in, panoramas out.

And it truly does everything they claim. And it does it exceptionaly well. Below are a few examples of panoramas that I created with images I had lying around. I’ve enabled the Panorama Module for the gallery also, so you can see the images full size (sort of). To pan across the panorama image, just drag it with the mouse. Or use the slider at the bottom of the image to set an autoscrolling speed. Enjoy
