So I arrived. My flight from Chicago to Greensboro was very diffrent then the first class trip I had just taken. We were on a little itty bitty Canadair Regional Jet. One of these planes thats so small they dont put a causeway up to it, you walk out on the tarmac and out to your plane.
This place is awesome though. It was originally a mansion built in the 1930’s so it definatly has that old feel, but its also a really fancy hotel. The kind of place where you dont have to open doors because there is somebody standing next to them to open them for you. I’ve taken a couple pictures of my room. My only gripe is that I ended up with a small bed, but I actually slept quite well on it last night.
My shower has 17 heads though, so if that isn’t pure gluttonous indulgence I dont know what is. The bathroom is marble floors and walls. The rest of the building is exactly how you see it in the pictures from my previous post (click the large image for a slideshow). As far as the images I’ve taken I’ll be posting them up in my gallery: North Carolina Trip. And I’m going to do my best to put descriptions on the images. So look there for more info.
Until next time, I’m headed off to a cable manufacturing plant to watch them turn a 1 ton block of copper into cat 6.
