Scion

When I was a wee lad, I had visions of one day getting a pimp ride, so that when I passed pretty women on the side of the street who were forlornly walking somewhere, I could pull up and say, “Hey, mamasita, you want a ride?” I’ve since been informed that women find this, in fact, really creepy, so I’ve never actually done it, but I have to mention that every guy has a fantasy of one day doing this, even while admitting this fantasy is in direct opposition to any possible reality. That said, this is the story of my 2005 Scion tC:
Late in 2004 my brother Keith needed a car, and the Scion tC got his attention long before most people had ever seen one outside of press photos. It didn’t take long before he had a request with Maita Scion to get a call when they finally got a Flint Mica (Grey) or Black Sand Pearl (Black). He ended up with a Black Sand Pearl.
Keith did most of the performance modifications before he decided he wanted to get out of having to make a car payment and he sold it to me in June of 2006. There are certainly some performance modifications I’d like to make, but most of them require a pretty good chunk of change, so I’ve mostly done things to make it look unique.
