Mike White came up to visit today, unfortunately we didn’t have anything to drink or snack on when he got here. So Kerry, Mike and myself made a quick run to WinCo Foods to stock up on the essentials (Beer, Soda, Chips, Queso and Cocoa Puffs).
Ramblings and musings of a technology addict
http://liulei.name/ is the first blog I know of (besides mine) that is using Evincere. Its kind of exciting! Except that I can’t read anything posted on the blog (without the help of a translator), and it appears that the owner of the blog removed the line at the footer that credits me with its creation (BOOO!)
But Technorati caught the link as a reaction before it was removed.
No, not for me. For Kerry!
Last night, we signed the papers for a 1999 Volkswagon Passat GLX. Its a really sweet car with all the features – Heated Leather Seats, Dual Climate Control, Power everything including passengers seat, sunroof, 8 speaker sound system, 190hp V6 with 206 ft\pds of torque. Everything.
Anyway, she couldnt drive it home last night because its not insured, but today we are going to get the insurance and when she gets the car Ill take pictures of it, for now all I have is the one picture that the dealer had on the web.
The following image from AccuWeather.com just about sums up everything. For the record the thermometer in my car (which is parked in the shade) is reading 108°, KCRA reports 106°.
A few point of interest about the extremely high temperatures. Saturday, Death Valley had a high of 125°, and then 126° on Sunday. About 40 cities had an all time high on Saturday, and 20 on Sunday. The following is from Jesse Ferrell’s Blog on AccuWeather
Other records of note are below. Probably 100 records were tied this weekend, and I couldn’t include them all, but I tried to include anything over 115 (120 for Cali), any records which were shattered, and one high from each state. Yesterday’s record list has been integrated into this one). Some but not all of these are all-time records and the previous records are indicated by parentheses ().
